My Aerial Home School of Aerial Dance and Circus is looking for an exceptional person to join their team. This job may be one or two roles, divided into Head of Monster Club who must be able to teach aerial skills as well as organise. The second role is that of a “right hand” person to the company Manager & Administrator.
An interest in contemporary circus and aerial education is a must.
Head of Youth Circus (The Monster Club)
• To lead and teach the Monster Club classes. To be able to teach 2 or more aerial disciplines. Leading the sessions includes…
o Grouping the children appropriately due to age/level
o Ensuring the classes run to time. Including calling time at the aerial stations and that warm up and cool downs are led by different coaches each week and run to time.
o Ensure all circus coaches have the correct uniform and are smart.
o Talking to parents/carers before and after the class. Informing parents of any issues that may have happened during class time.
o Playing age appropriate music throughout the session.
• Schedule enrolments for the classes/summer camps and create pricing options using the Mindbody booking system.
• Ensure coaches can provide classes in multiple disciplines.
• Schedule and Timetable Easter and Summer Camps.
• Ensure all teachers have valid DBS and public liability insurance.
• Liaise with Amanda
• Be able to speak, call and email parents/carers
• Book and organise Monster Club teachers for term time classes.
• Book and organise Teachers for Summer and Easter Camps
• Ensure all children’s parents/carers have signed the Monster Club waiver
• Email parents new booking links 3 weeks into the current term.
• Keep leaflets, websites and promotional materials up to date. Includes liaising with Claire for social media.
• First aid trained
• Will need to have their own laptop to work from. Be able to work at the space for the admin elements.

Qualities
• Organised, computer literate and numerate
• Able to use or learn to use different systems such as Mindbody & Square Space.
• Able to talk to members of the public in a pleasant and suitable manner either in person or on the telephone about the company’s services.
• Interested in contributing to business growth.
• A person who understands the concept of revenue generating and revenue saving.
• Able to forward think and forward plan.
• The ability to come up with new ideas.
• The ability to research ideas and see them through to the end of the project
• An interest in live theatre/circus production
• Maintain brand quality and identity
• Good communicator
• Self-motivated with ideas for business growth
• Not frightened to muck in
Duties
• Be a trusted key holder and open and close the space
• Ensure the space is ready (clean and tidy) for the day’s events and correct if not up to scratch
• Liaise with clients and parents
• Take payments
• Take bookings
• Read emails and make sure relevant information is given to MD and other parties
• Schedule classes on booking system
• Update website
• Design posters when required
• Organise teachers and teach (skills permitting) on workshops and classes
• Organise warm up and cooldown rotas
• Organise teachers for children’s parties
• Check that issues have been acted upon
• Organise and/or check MD’s diary and schedule
• Liaise closely with MD on ideas and organisation
• Keep the general smooth running of the company and its environment
• Work for the good of the organisation and its customers and work force
Hours: Flexible but moving towards full time – there are evening and some weekend hours.
Fee: Negotiable on hours and experience
Status: Freelance
Must like dogs
We do allow time off for professional contracts so would suit a performer with the appropriate qualities.
