The DET Casting Professional Training Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to shape the next generation of casting leaders. This program selects one outstanding professional each year for immersive, hands-on mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in identifying roles for stunt casting and generating cast lists.
Learn about casting budgets and track talent deals.
Participate in talent generals and pitches with development teams, and scout talent at comedy shows, theaters, and screenings.
Coordinate the casting and production of the 2025 DTD Talent Showcase.
Gain hands-on experience in the independent casting process
Network with casting professionals, industry executives, talent agents, managers, and producers to enhance career opportunities and visibility within the industry.
The Coordinator will be based within the ABC Casting team while also acquiring valuable experience through rotations across various DET casting departments. These rotations will encompass scripted, unscripted, and animated content and will be customized to align with the associate’s interests and skills, as well as the specific needs of each department.

Basic Qualifications:

1+ year work experience in creative development, current series, marketing, casting, production, animation, streaming, or another creative discipline.
A passion for creating compelling television
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
A willingness to take initiative and be proactive.
An ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Adaptable, at ease with a rapidly changing environment and assignments and able to adjust to rotating work assignments.
Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of work experience in the entertainment industry.
Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $58,700.00 to $78,600.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
