Lorna Rees (Artistic Director, Gobbledegook Theatre) seeks movement/physical theatre performers for the premier of a new work, GEOPHONIC
What’s required for the role:
Strong physical theatre performer
Confident singer
Comfortable performing in large theatre mask
Collaborative approach
Devising experience
Comfortable with improvisation
The performance will be a mainly non-verbal, physical piece. You must be confident with, but do not necessarily need to have, experience of working outdoors and promenade performance.
GEOPHONIC is a site-responsive performance piece and sound walk. It will encourage audiences to listen to the geological processes of the Earth. It will explore the Anthropocene and remind people that humans are part of nature.

w/c 26th April 2021 - All applicants notified of decision
w/c 24th May 2021 - Audition day (subject to change)
Date TBC in August 2021 - Rehearsal week at 101 Creation Space, Newbury
24th– 26th September 2021 - Performances at Inside Out Dorset in Symondsbury
