Description:DESCRIPTIONJob Description We are seeking a Carnival Studios Manager to oversee the long-term strategy and daily operations of Carnival’s rehearsal facility, Carnival Studios, and related apartments. Provide a safe, efficient, and positive working environment at the Studios for all rehearsing shipboard team members and shoreside staff. Oversee wardrobe / costume function for production shows on-board Carnival Fleet. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Oversee daily operations of the Studios by partnering with the managers/supervisors of production shows, music, technical, development and casting to ensure efficient and successful rehearsal periods Provide direct leadership, direction, and development to the Studio Supervisor, Facilities/Housing Associate and Costume Supervisor Partner with other departments (Shipboard HR, Medical, Travel, Legal) to make certain best practices are being used and proper procedures are being followed for team members while they are at Carnival Studios Build, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships including apartments, food, security, cleaning, and construction Lead the Studios’ long term growth plans including new construction and technical development Oversee the creation of the master schedule for rehearsal and onboard contracts for performers and musicians Lead regular review of facilities including inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure building management is accountable for optimal operational and aesthetic conditions and compliance with health and safety standards Manage the annual budgets for the Studios and apartments Forecast/track monthly spending and develop/implement cost reduction initiatives to stay within budget Monitor team member surveys and other KPIs and develop strategies for continuous improvement, upgrades, and enhancements Manage the Studios’ business continuity and hurricane/emergency action plans No or very little travel likely QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Facility management, Theatre/Stage management Minimum 5 yrs. experience Basic knowledge of Microsoft office applications General understanding of Theater/Cruise/Facility operations Understanding of logistics, timelines and deliverables Master’s Degree in Facility management, Theatre/Stage management preferred An understanding of project management methodologies and tools Strategic thinking to find solutions to complex problems that can balance short and long-term objectives Experience building and maintaining complex schedules Knowledge of cruise ship life preferred Must be able to work independently Knowledge of basic HR functions and government regulations Excellent verbal and written communication skills About Us In addition to other duties/functions, this position requires full commitment and support for promoting ethical and compliant culture.
