he Tdi – Théâtre à Durée Indéterminée (Theater of Indeterminate Duration) is a venue dedicated to the performing arts (theater, circus, dance, musical comedy). In support of emerging and professional artistic creation, the Tdi provides a workspace on the stage. It hosts residencies and rehearsals.
The Tdi has been managed since May 2018 by the Curry Vavart collective, as part of a performance agreement signed with the City of Paris and a 3-year civil lease, renewed in 2021.
Curry Vavart is an artistic and multidisciplinary collective that organizes and develops spaces for living, creation, and shared activities. In a Parisian land context, rare and expensive, the collective, noting the lack of available and affordable workspaces for young creation and associations in Paris, organized itself to offer solutions to support these artistic and associative initiatives. This project was enriched by the desire to develop convivial spaces conducive to meetings and exchanges.
In this capacity, Curry Vavart currently manages four venues: the Shakirail, the Villa Belleville, the Tzara, and the Tdi, whose project was born from a desire to develop a venue specifically for the performing arts.
A coordination team, composed of artists, technicians, and administrators from the performing arts sector, works daily to bring the venue to life (hosting companies in residence and rehearsals) and is working to invent new ways to support companies (from research and experimentation to creation).
The Tdi is located in the La Banane neighborhood, in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. Keen to open the venue to its local area, the coordination team is also developing projects for residents of the 20th arrondissement, in partnership with associations and other organizations in the arrondissement.

The TDI is launching the call for projects for the seventh season of residencies.
The residency periods will be one week from Monday, September 1, 2025 to Friday, January 30, 2026
