Every year, since La Pop opened to the public in 2016, this day allows for the meeting between artistic projects and performing arts professionals, during a presentation on the barge. Our call for applications is open to anyone with an artistic project for a live performance under construction, which uses the sound and/or musical object. This allows us in particular to identify and discover the work of young artists.

As part of Artistic Scouting Day #9, La Pop is launching a call for applications
for artists wishing to introduce professionals to their artistic project in
development - In partnership with the Théâtre de Vanves, Danse Dense
and the Théâtre Les Gémeaux - Scène Nationale de Sceaux
WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE CALL?
Any artistic team which takes complete freedom of the sound or musical object, and which would
carry a stage project currently being designed and produced. The creation of the
proposed project must take place after September 1, 2024.
No constraint of sound source, musical genre (current music, improvised, urban,
contemporary, electronic, heritage...) or stage form (theater, dance, performance,
opera , installation, circus, puppet...) is not fixed. On the other hand, music or sounds must
be at the heart of the creative process, and not an illustrative element or an atmospheric motif.
HOW TO APPLY?
Artistic teams must send, before Tuesday March 5, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., an application file
by email to [email protected].
WHAT ELEMENTS MUST BE IN THE FILE?
• a brief presentation of the project which includes a pitch, a synopsis, a distribution, the
delegated producer if applicable, any co-producers and partners, the period and the location
envisaged for the creation. This file must also specify the stage forms used,
the imagined dramaturgy/staging, the place and roles played by the sounds and/or music;
• a musical or sound extract;
• a visual illustrating the aesthetic universe in which the project is part;
• a two-sentence summary of the project (for communication purposes if the project is
selected).
CALENDAR
• Submission of the application file: until Tuesday March 5 at 7:00 p.m. (any file received after
this time will not be taken into account)
• Announcement of selected projects: early April
• Half day of preparation: Friday May 3 from 2:30 p.m. at 5:30 p.m.
This is a time for meetings and exchanges between the leaders of the ten selected projects and the
coordinating structures.
• Artistic scouting day #9: Thursday May 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The presentation of the project is free, oral, limited to 20 minutes and followed by an exchange with the audience.
This presentation can be accompanied by any support or artistic presentation to
illustrate the point.
• Review and feedback on the day: Wednesday May 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The presence of at least one member of the team is required for each of these
meetings
