This class blends the sensual art of burlesque with the strength and flow of pole dance, creating a unique experience for our students.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in burlesque dance with a confident, expressive style.
Pole dance teaching experience (beginner to intermediate level preferred).
Ability to create a fun, empowering, and body-positive class environment.
Strong communication and teaching skills.
Availability on Saturdays and/or Sundays (weekly or bi-weekly).

REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Flexible part time work schedules are available,
Able to sub in case of an emergency.
Able to take initiative, are organized, on time and motivated with experience in customer service, strong communication skills, problem solving, and have the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead large groups!
Keep on top of their own health, and fitness training.
Keep up-to-date on your industry knowledge and best practices.
Willingness to present oneself as well as Sweet ‘N Sultry Studio in a professional manner.
Passionate about diversity and inclusion, and able to interact with, and respect individuals as they wish to be respected.
Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.
Provide specific and supportive feedback to students in order to help them progress at their own pace.
Work with other instructors and staff as a team to help build a creative, positive and inclusive environment.
Organize and prepare class lessons and routines in advance.
Collaborate with other instructors to learn and grow from each other as well as expand and prepare various lesson plans to keep each class new and exciting.
You’re committed to working as a team where we believe that we are better, smarter, and stronger as a team than as individuals.
Attend in person & virtual team meetings.
Social media marketing and promotion
Maintain studio facilities so they are safe, clean and welcoming by helping sanitize, disinfecting before and after classes in the studio and bathrooms.
Comply with any applicable federal, state, and local government regulations and guidelines as well as studio policies and protocols on COVID-19 Health and Safety and restrictions for in-person teaching such as enforcing the use of facemask and temperature screenings if needed.
Learn emergency action plans, shelter in place and document any injuries that occur in the studio.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 21 years or older.
Prior experience instructing groups preferred but open to giving new instructors a space to grow.
Certificates in your area of expertise are a plus but not required
Enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects.
Desire to pass on knowledge to others, and teach in a positive way.
Communicate effectively with staff and students in a positive way.
Be well-versed in skills and techniques and be able to incorporate them into classes.
Be able to instruct students in proper techniques, skills, forms and alignments.
Works directly with clients to provide a safe and efficient program that considers the client’s needs and abilities helping them to reach their goals.
Should be able to motivate others, prioritize the safety of students, have attention to detail and excellent judgment.
Ability to lead and motivate.
Ability to teach the same information in different ways to help students progress.
Must be assertive, enthusiastic, and punctual.
Ability to take initiative, multitask, and problem solve.
Must have strong communication skills, and respond well to questions.
Must be patient and comfortable dealing with complaints.
Lead by example, dedicated to maintaining personal integrity and one’s own health and fitness.
Instructors needed for various shifts must be open to work some evenings and weekend classes as well as some parties.
Ability and willingness to prospect new clients.
CPR and First Aid certification Plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position is very active and requires a significant amount of movement, strength, endurance and flexibility. Individuals must maintain a high degree of energy and physical endurance to teach and complete a class without getting winded or out of breath while providing instruction and monitoring safety. Physical demands also include, but are not limited to, considerable use of your arms and legs, moving your whole body, lifting, walking, standing, balancing, bending, squatting, kneeling, jumping, running, reaching, hopping, spinning, kicking, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
It’s a Fitness/Dance Studio. This role routinely works with various types of people, and frequently in an environment where noise levels vary from quiet to loud, playing various types of music and loud explicit music at times.
