Description:Full job descriptionJob Title: Dance Instructor Company: Level Up Dance Complex Location: Attleboro, MA Job Type: Part Time, Contract with opportunity for FT employment Start Date: ASAP About Us: Level Up Dance Complex is a new dynamic dance studio dedicated to nurturing the passion and talent of dancers of all ages. Our mission is to provide a supportive and creative environment where dancers can learn and excel in various dance styles. As we gear up for the upcoming competitive season starting in August 2024, we are excited to expand our team of dedicated dance instructors. Position Overview: We are looking to add an experienced ballet dancer/dance instructor to our team of dance and choreography professionals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable teaching ballet to all ages. There will be opportunities for this instructor to teach both children and adult programs for a large amount of future earning potential. Prior teaching experience is not required. Responsibilities: Conduct engaging and age-appropriate dance classes for students aged 3-19. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with our curriculum and the developmental needs of the students. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their skills. Stay updated on current dance trends and instructional methods. Participate in studio events, competitions, and performances as required. Work alongside the studio director for yearly competition planning Support marketing and growth of the program Qualifications: Strong background in ballet, tap, and jazz dance styles. Comfortable teaching various dance styles. Bonus: Experience in gymnastics/tumbling or acrobatic dance instruction. Prior experience as a dance instructor is highly preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. CPR Certification Compensation: Level Up Instructors are paid between $20-$25 per class plus an additional amount per student for each class. This position starts as a 1099 contractor with opportunity to develop into more after 90 days. Interview Process: Phone interview to discuss qualifications and experience. Submission of choreography reels (if available). Onsite in-person interview and introduction to our dance studio. In-person audition to demonstrate dance knowledge and teaching skills.
