Summary

Sight & Sound is an organization comprised of people with diverse talents coming together as one in Christ to tell His story through who we are and what we do. Provide immediate and expedient repairs to theatre equipment and systems. Assist department with development, installation, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical projects and systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot show related systems as needed. Assist in the design and implementation of special effects for new shows, existing shows, and special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Strive to uphold, model and encourage a culture of oneness consistent with our shared commitment to - Jesus as Lord and to reflect in our lives and advance the truth that God reveals in the Bible.
- Ability to quickly and accurately assess and respond to equipment failures
- Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot show related machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.
- General knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and rigging systems.
- Assist with design and fabrication of equipment used in theatre, including rigging equipment
- Assist in concepting, prototyping and installing new effects for new and existing show.

Requirements
Prerequisites:

- Basic knowledge of electronic and electrical systems
- Hardware, software and network computer skills
- Must be available to work flexible hours. Occasionally scheduled work during shows and rehearsals but also during other shifts as necessary to complete department projects.
- Advanced electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills for lighting, projection, special effects and communication equipment.

Education and / or Experience: Minimum Associate degree and / or 2 – 5 years’ experience with
motors, pumps and switches.
