Description:The Baobab company – multidisciplinary creation is looking for a performer to complete the cast of its next creation: It will be too cold, scheduled for January 2025.SYNOPSIS In a community room, nine strangers are invited by Jean-Sébastien, a seemingly benevolent man, to participate in a series of games and group situations in front of an audience. These situations, which take place in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere, gradually take the form of theatrical actions and physically demanding competitive games. Through an accumulation of social awkwardness and insidious resentments, the atmosphere worsens and they end up becoming their own executioners and victims, under the gaze of Jean-Sébastien who facilitates but never intervenes. The group reaches a point of no return where it splits into two: those who want to stop and those who want to continue. The result is a climate where the two clans clash and trigger a merciless war. ** Profile sought: a performer with playing and movement skills, good shape and physical endurance. Ability to work with a large team of performers, comfortable with improvisation and more sensitive themes (power dynamics, fascism). The role is open to anyone, regardless of gender identity or cultural background. The roles are tailor-made for the performers. Working conditions: 100 hours of rehearsals at $20/hour + $100/performances for 10 performances (total of $3000) Availability required: 100 hours between September and the end of January + including entry to the theater from January 13 to 20 + evening performances from January 20 to February 1, 2025 The hearing will take place on Saturday, May 11 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cité des hospitalières (corner Avenue des Pins and Jeanne-Mance).
