Cirque EquiNote registers as a creative circus company. Created from scratch, it has continued to evolve for 11 years.
What EquiNote inspires:
- The freedom... to think, to express, to act, to move, to be...
- Horses through an inspiring relationship, through the taste for continuing the story of a circus with horses and more generally by the desire to work towards better being together.
- The marquee, by its ephemeral dimension, its own universe, its capacity to attract very large audiences, the way of life it implies.
- Respect for the Earth and its guests (search for sobriety, consistency, short circuits, least impactful lifestyle, search for relational quality, etc.) - Accuracy, in relationships with oneself, with
others other humans and/or animals

Currently the company is approved by the Grand Est Region (2022-2024) following development aid 2019-2021 as well as by the DRAC Grand Est (2022-2023).
Also supported by the Ministry of Culture (DGCA aid for creation + aid for homelessness), the DRAC Grand Est (aid for creation), the Grand Est Region, the Grand Ciel network, the city of Strasbourg, the European Community of Alsace, the Community of Communes of Saint-Amarin.

We invite you to participate in our auditions for circus artists within the Équinote company.
Profile sought: We are looking for circus artists open to dance, acting, and/or practicing music. All disciplines are welcome. Please note that our track is covered with wood shavings, which is essential for the progress of our horses.
Commitment: By applying, consider that you are potentially embarking on a 3 to 5 year adventure, alongside our horses. Our itinerant journey under a marquee brings its share of joys and constraints, including personal traveling accommodation, the assembly and dismantling of marquees, collective life, etc.
Creation: This creation, worn by Sarah Dreyer, Vincent Welter (equestrian arts), and Alfred Gilleron (Chinese pole), is an invitation to stay connected. In connection with ourselves, animals, nature, and our values. Our universe will be both organic and fantastic, a contrasting and contradictory reflection of a reality where living together remains inevitable.
The Cie Équinote continues its artistic ambitions with Émilie CAPLIEZ, artist and co-director of the Comédie de Colmar - CDN, who will sign the direction, and Juliette DE BEAUCHAMP, outgoing playwright of the TNS. Linking the expression of a horse to an artistic gesture, linking dramaturgy to the inspiring world of the big top, and connecting with the public form the bases of this new project.
Auditions/Creation: The auditions will take place on November 7 and 8 at the following address: Place des Loisirs 50380 SAINT-PAIR-SUR-MER (50) under our marquee, led by the director. Accommodation (gîte) and meals will be covered, and you have the option of coming in a caravan.
Duration of creation: Our creation will be spread over 15 weeks during the 24-25 year, with a release planned for fall 2025 at the Comédie de Colmar - CDN.
