Description:
Since its launch almost 15 years ago, Modern Love has become one of The New York Times’s most popular columns. And its weekly podcast has struck a chord with listeners that has only deepened over time. Now, the show is looking for a dynamic producer who can lead the production needs of a weekly show, plus imagine what the next 15 years could look like.

You are a person who is excited by audio storytelling, and working in a highly collaborative environment. You are highly organized and comfortable meeting deadlines. If this all sounds like you, then we’d like to talk more.
Responsibilities:
Produce the show from start to finish, including research, booking, recording in the field and/or studio, cutting tape, mixing audio.
Direct the host and guests in the studio.
Work with editorial figures from both the audio team and the Styles desk.
Manage an editorial calendar for the show, juggling priorities and longer-term ambitions.
Collaborate with the audience development director and Styles desk to dream up creative ways to reach a new audience via social media and other channels.
Upload each episode with correct metadata, on and off The New York Times platform.
Skills:
At least 5 years experience in audio production.
Fluency in audio editing, ideally using Pro Tools.
A passion for narrative storytelling.

Creative ideas about how to make smart audio shows that will get listeners hooked.

Experience in a deadline-driven environment.
