UP - Circus & Performing Arts, is the new name of Espace Catastrophe, now located on the Lion City site in Molenbeek, in the heart of a fast-growing district with excellent public transport access. UP is a performing arts center dedicated to Belgian and international circus creation and contemporary repertoire. It's a space for shared projects, questioning the world we live in, in cohesion with local artists, professionals, residents, associations and schools.
The position
The Assistant to the General & Artistic Management is a true partner and accomplice of the Management team, contributing to the implementation of support processes for creations supported, hosted, co-produced and/or presented at UP - Circus & Performing Arts; collaborating in the development of projects (such as the UP Festival, thematic meetings, LABO-ratoires, professional days, intra-extra muros events, etc.), taking part in the follow-up & management of the company's activities. ), participates in the follow-up & management of projects developed in partnership (national & international), provides support for the construction of transmission actions (training programs for all & professional meetings) & punctually comes to reinforce the teams according to the needs of the actions/activities of the Scenic Center. This "Swiss Army knife" function (understood as being essential & multi-tasking) includes :
Operational management, logistical & organizational support for artistic, educational & social projects;
Executive/delegated coordination of internal/external teams depending on the project (production, logistics, technical, communication/promotion, administrative);
Promotion & development of a team spirit aimed at efficient & harmonious management of activities & projects, taking into account artistic/educational/social challenges;
Pro-active monitoring of activity/project planning & follow-up through efficient use of collaborative tools (Teams, Trello, My-Cata, etc.);
Development of tools that can be shared with management and internal/external teams;
Participation in professional/institutional meetings (national & international);
Recruitment & supervision/monitoring of interns, jobbers, outside contributors and/or volunteers, depending on projects/activities;
Participate in drafting seasonal reports.
Profile & Skills
You have a university degree in Cultural Management, Cultural Management, Performing Arts or similar;
You have a keen interest in contemporary creation and live performance in particular;
YouYou enjoy working in pairs & as part of a team, in a collaborative yet autonomous way;
You like having responsibilities, you're results-oriented & you don't give up;
Organized, rigorous & dynamic, you're able to manage several projects at the same time and know how to prioritize. You're used to deadlines and you're resistant to stress;
You have good interpersonal skills, and are able to pass on instructions straightforwardly and diplomatically;
You have a good command of standard computer programs, Excel holds no secrets for you, you are comfortable working with Photoshop or In Design, and collaborative applications are part of your daily routine;
You are fluent in French, English and Dutch, both orally and in writing;
You're flexible & open to variable working hours, including evening/weekend shifts at times, as well as travel in Belgium & abroad;
And, last but not least, you want to get involved in a project that gives meaning to your daily life.
