Summary
Ohio University School of Theater invites applicants for a full time Staff Assistant Technical Director.
The Production Design and Technology (PD&T) program is committed to a collaborative design and production process modelling professional training in theatrical design and technology, preparing students for careers in New York, Chicago, regional and/or international theatre, musical theatre, film, opera, and commercial production studio markets. Staff Assistant Technical Director specializing in practicing and instructing students in professional industry production standards. We seek an experienced, professional, and organized individual to lead the scene shop activities toward the successful on-time delivery of scenery crafted to regional theatre standards as well as an individual capable of teaching classes in the Technical Direction curriculum. In collaboration with the faculty Technical Director, this individual will direct the everyday operations of the scene shop for the School of Theater and Tantrum Theater, and oversee assigned activities within the electrics shop, assuring a safe work environment.
