The historic Cape Playhouse in Dennis, MA +mdash; the theater where Broadway goes to summer- is accepting resumes for an Assistant Production Manager for our 2025 Summer Season which includes productions of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, Rent, Anastasia, Come From Away, and Joan.

This contract begins on May 5th and ends on September 28th. There is some flexibility to start and end dates. Housing may be provided.

The Assistant Production Manager reports to the Production Manager.

The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for aiding in the tracking of spending across departments and ensuring all spending is accurately reported and recorded. They will directly assist the Production Manager based on their needs and the needs of production. This includes aiding the Production Manager in finding/employing any necessary overhire, managing business accounts and updating card information, being a liaison between creatives and resident staff, coordinating production and staff meetings, managing rentals, and creating/maintaining production schedules. The APM will also assist in organizing campus events such as concerts, children's education performances, and the 2025 Gala. They will be responsible for generating and maintaining meeting notes, schedules, and other relevant paperwork. The APM may at times be assisting the needs of the scenic, props, costumes, lighting, and sound departments hands on.
Experience using google sheets, microsoft word, dropbox, and google drive is strongly recommended. One year of professional experience is preferred. Experience across multiple theater departments is preferred.
