Description:
Careers in the performing arts should be open to all those who aspire to them, especially when this professional horizon seems to be kept at a distance by symbolic, economic or social barriers. To enable young, aspiring artists to realize their dreams, the Fondation d'entreprise Hermès is developing a system of scholarships based on social criteria for students whose precarious situation weakens the expression of their potential and, in fact, the success of their training in the performing arts.
Specifically, this program is aimed at students enrolled in a higher education program in dance, theater, circus, or puppetry, within one of the twenty partner institutions located throughout the country. Following a call for applications, the scholarships are awarded by a selection committee and allow for the support of three classes of scholarship students each year. Their amount varies according to individual circumstances and is paid monthly for a maximum period of three academic years. This financial support should help remove the economic constraints that weigh on students' daily lives so that they can fully devote themselves to their learning.
