The Winged City of Ypres will celebrate its 23rd edition next year. The festival will once again surprise organizers, promoters, and the public with the best acts from the world of street theater for three days on April 10, 11, and 12, 2026. The core values will remain unchanged:
The Winged City is and will remain an international promotional festival for arts in the open space (circus, theater, installations, fire and fireworks, etc.) and consists of two parts:
At the promotional festival (in the historic city center and on the ramparts of Ypres), selected artists will present their acts to the organizers/promoters present, who will be specially invited to come and watch and connect. The festival is free and open to a wide audience, fostering a positive atmosphere and ensuring the artists receive the necessary feedback.
The trade fair is a meeting place for artists and organizers/promoters. The stands are reserved for partners of 'De Gevleugelde Stad Ypres' (The Winged City of Ypres) and the selected artists (or their representatives). This trade fair is only open to artists and organizers/promoters.
