The Cirque du Soleil Casting team will be hosting an audition for Artistic Gymnastics and Trampoline/Tumbling athletes, as well as Circus Performers (except clowns) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, September 28th/29th 2022.

Audition: September 28th/29th, 2022
Male and female performers, if you are 18+ years old, please prepare your virtual audition portfolio, including:
A CV/resumé;
One photo;
Videos required (ideally put your material on a single demo of maximum 10 minutes):
· Introduction to the camera (name, age, training, experience) in English if possible – max. 1 min.;
· For Circus Performers: full circus act in your main discipline, in a rehearsal space or live (make sure you are easy to identify. Please keep video editing to a minimum);
· For Athletes: video of your best routine in you sports discipline (for artistic gymnasts it should include high bar, vault and floor exercises)
· A demonstration of flexibility and strength including:
o flexibility: the three splits, bridge, shoulders, pike position;
o strength: no leg rope climb, chin-ups, picked leg lifts;
o basic floor acrobatics (if applicable): handstand, walkovers, handsprings, standing flips.
· A secondary high-level discipline or additional skills, if applicable – max. 2 min.

Important information:
Only complete application (with demos) will be evaluated;
Only selected candidates will be contacted and will receive an email to confirm their presence at the audition;
Artists invited to audition must bring their own equipment (apparatus, hardware…etc).
Please note that:
Cirque du Soleil will not pay for any expenses you incur by attending the audition;
This is a general audition for all roles in our current shows and upcoming creations. If you successfully pass the audition, you will become part of our database of potential artists for future casting calls - we do not offer contracts at the audition.
Terms and Conditions of applying online:
The profile information of candidates will be used by Cirque du Soleil and its related partners;
