Showcase your talent
As an Artistic Casting Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting resident and touring shows, new creations and special events with all their casting needs across artistic disciplines. Reporting to the Head of Casting, Show Support, you will recommend the best artists in the fields of Music and Singing, and will also support the presentations of Dancers and Actors/Clowns/Characters. You will contribute to the success of Cirque du Soleil shows by developing and maintaining a network of contacts and organizations in the field of Performing Arts. Your main objective will be to process all casting requests in artistic disciplines.

Responsibilities:
• Provide recommendations and introduce artists to the artistic and creative teams;
• Search for candidates worldwide, clarify and validate artist profiles;
• Ensure precise and complete documentation on artist profiles;
• If necessary, carry out artist recruitment activities (auditions and screenings), according to established methodologies;
• Write reports following casting activities;
• Develop, maintain and manage professional collaboration with various artistic organizations, training establishments, talent agencies, casting partners and consultants;
• Perform other related duties.

You have these professional and technical skills:
- College or university diploma in music and/or singing, an asset;
- 3 years or more of international experience in the industry and in-depth knowledge in the fields of casting, performance and/or show creation with specialization in music and singing. Extensive expertise in various styles, techniques and instruments is required.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of other languages ​​is an asset;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, experience working with databases as well as video library applications are an asset;
- Ability to accurately evaluate musicians and singers in various styles, techniques and instruments and be able to describe their skills in detail;
- Experience and knowledge of dance and theater are a major asset;
- A strong network of national and international contacts in related fields;
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities;
- Diplomacy and discretion in all communications;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Flexibility and good adaptation skills;
- Availability to travel.
