## Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Aerialist / Circus Instructor for 1st - 8th grade students.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in aerial arts and other introductory circus disciplines such as juggling, tumbling, hoop, dance, and stilts. If you’re passionate about circus arts and enjoy fostering creativity, confidence, and teamwork in young learners, we’d love to have you on our team!

## Responsibilities

Instruction: Teach a variety of aerial art skills and other circus arts, tailored to the age and skill levels of the students.
Class Planning: Assist in developing structured lesson plans that outline objectives, activities, safety protocols, and progress for each week, ensuring students remain engaged and inspired.
Supervision and Safety: Maintain a safe and supportive environment during all activities, closely supervising students to prevent accidents and injuries. Implement safety guidelines for equipment use.
Classroom Management: Establish and enforce positive behavior expectations, promoting respect, teamwork, and cooperation among students to manage the class effectively.
Student Engagement: Foster a fun and motivating atmosphere, encouraging creativity, self-expression, and confidence among students in their circus arts practice.
Weekly Updates: Provide detailed weekly updates to Harmony Arts administration regarding student progress, participation, and any notable achievements or challenges. Option to utilize the Harmony Art's Google Classroom to communicate updates effectively.
Skill Assessment: Regularly assess students’ progress in circus arts skills and provide constructive feedback to help them improve and set goals for their development.
Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and staff at the homeschool campus to coordinate activities and ensure alignment with overall program goals.
Event Participation: Organize and lead student performances or showcases at the end of the term, allowing students to demonstrate their skills and progress to family and friends.
Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices in circus arts education and child development through workshops, training, or networking with other educators.
Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with Harmony Arts administration regarding student development, class activities, and any concerns.
Materials Management: Ensure that all aerial & circus arts equipment is safe, well-maintained, and organized for efficient use during classes.
These responsibilities will help create a successful learning environment that nurtures students' skills while keeping them safe and motivated in their circus arts journey.

## Skills

Background in aerial arts / circus performance, dance
Ability to manage classroom and facilitate engaging curriculum for K - 8th
## Schedule:

Fountain Valley area on Wednesday from 12p - 2p
Capo Beach area on Fridays from 9a to 12p
**If interested in applying to instruct additional classes, there are more instruction hours available for hire in Circus Arts / Dance / Sewing

Monday & Wednesday mornings/early afternoon - Campus in Fountain Valley

Thursday mornings/early afternoon - Campus in Riverside.

Friday mornings/early afternoon - Campus in Capo Beach

## Requirement:

Background check & subject to Live Scan. Cost of $30 Live Scan will be reimbursed by Harmony Arts after completion of a whole academic year.
Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 3 per week
