Backstage performing arts is looking for a dynamic and confident individual with a passion in Aerial Arts to join our team. Clean Technique and the ability to confidently teach groups of children is so important! Applicants must be friendly, reliable, highly skilled at multitasking, have excellent communication skills, and be genuine and passionate about teaching children and teens.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Experienced in Aerial Silks
-Previous teaching experience is a plus
-Enthusiastic, confident and outgoing personality
-Passion for teaching children
-Dependable with a strong work ethic – natural willingness to go above and beyond
-Confidence to energetically command a room of 6-10 kids or teens ages 10-18.
-Be able to choreograph routines and successfully teach the material to the students based on their skill level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Availability to teach a minimum of 4 classes per week between 4:00-9:00pm through April-May (classes during the summer are from 9:30-12:30 during the day)
-Diligent planning and preparation before each class, including diligent study of choreography and class planning prior to each class, as well as preparing students for recitals and performances
-Assist with quick set up and cleaning up after yourself
-All new teachers are required to train for a couple of classes and observe other teachers. Also they will be asked to show a basic curriculum for what they would classify as level 1-level 4 moves before starting to teach.
-All new teachers must get a background check
COMPENSATION & PERKS:
-This position offers a competitive base rate of $15-20/hour

Backstage is a Performing Arts Studio that educates all ages in becoming the best dancers, singers and actors. Our location is found just off of the freeway in Centerville. We strive to help our students experience their potential and accomplish their dreams. Backstage has been open for 5 years now and we are looking to add another teacher to our team!
