For over a decade, Aerial Horizon has provided top-notch training, performing, and coaching opportunities in San Antonio, TX. We've built a strong and welcoming community, full of creative possibilities and open to new ideas. Aerial Horizon is now expanding our team to support our growing company and keep up with demand.
We are searching for qualified aerial instructors/performers and administrative positions for full and part time work starting in January 2020. Must be willing to relocate to San Antonio, TX for at least 1 year. We’re happy to provide relocation assistance. We can also negotiate shorter or longer contracts for the right candidate.
Required Skills:
Professional level training, strong working knowledge, and at least 3-5 years of consistent professional coaching experience in 1 or more of these disciplines:
- Trapeze - all levels (single and double point)
- Lyra - all levels
- Fabric - beginning through intermediate
- Flexibility/Contortion - all levels
- Youth Circus - ages 5-14
- Most desirable other disciplines: Sling - beginning through intermediate, Straps - all levels, Handstands - all levels, Cyr - beginning, Dance - all levels, and anything else!
*A professional demeanor, punctual, reliable, strong work ethic, effective and open communicator, energetic, self-motivated, collaborative, detail oriented, hard working
*Compassionate approach to teaching, encouraging, positive nature, sense of humor
*A desire to gain experience and grow as a circus arts teacher/performer
*Must be able to legally work in the US
Instructors are paid competitive wages and have access to free training, liability insurance, a stipend for relocation, and other perks. Performing opportunities are offered as they arise (usually a few times/month), and our professional performance company creates and produces at least one full length, original show/year. Opportunities to create and direct student company productions will be offered to qualified and interested candidates.

Aerial Horizon’s 3,000 SF studio was custom built from the ground up and offers 14+ rigging points on pulleys, 24’-29’ ceilings, a staff break room, upstairs dance/contortion/handstand room, AC/Heat, and a positive, creative, and supportive staff. Aerial Horizon's students are mostly adults and we would like to expand our youth programming. Private lessons generally take place during the day with evening group classes from 6-8:45 pm Monday - Thursday, and during the day on Saturday and Sunday. Housing and food are inexpensive in San Antonio.
