DESCRIPTION
Virgin Voyages is seeking personable, outgoing, energetic, and unique humans and team players to join our onboard team. In person interviews will take place on December 6, 2022 in Orlando, FL.
As one of our team members, you can expect to be entertaining small and large groups of Sailors by participating in events such as Trivia, Karaoke, Dance Classes, Sports Events, Food and Drink Specific Events, our Epic parties and generally mingling and socializing with our cool Sailors. Additionally, you’ll provide general support to ensure ‘Smooth Operations’ around our events.
We want to be transparent that this gig may involve working up to 12 hours on a sea day and up to 10 hours on any given port day but you would get 2 days off within every 14 day period in line with our other Entertainment performing Cast, and in compliance with all MLC requirements.
As an integral member of this energetic team, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and participating in all shipboard, recreational, and social activities through setting up equipment, supplies, and engaging with participants.
- Creating a memorable and amazing experience for our Sailors by bringing your authentic personality, being fun, engaging (always respectful) and “getting the party started” by socializing and engaging with Sailors.
- Provide welcoming energy and enthusiasm to Sailors during the embarkation and disembarkation process by using your outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
- Participating in our Sailor and Crew safety drills, representing the Entertainment Department in a positive manner and displaying a positive attitude towards our ‘Safety First’ culture. STCW Training certificate is required (reimbursed by VV).
- Taking ownership of driving participation and attendance of shipboard events.
- Ability to work as a member of a team and be comfortable in a supporting role. You're 100% flexible and happy to roll up your sleeves to 'make ship happen', while having a positive attitude.
- Conversational and high level English language ability is required.
- Being an ambassador of the Virgin brand.
Contract Information
6 month contracts onboard will be ongoing throughout 2023 on our fleet of ships across the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
Salary: $2,500-$3,900/mo. Housing, transportation, medical, training and all meals provided.
