Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Acting Teacher to join our team on Wednesdays during term time. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching various elements of acting, focusing primarily on stage work. Students will learn techniques including projection, diction, physicality, and more, as well as explore different acting practitioners and Shakespearean works.
Working Hours: Wednesdays
Age 7 to 9 (School Year 3 to 4): 4:10 PM - 5:00 PM
Age 9 to 11 (School Year 5 to 6): 5:00 PM - 5:50 PM
Age 11 to 14 (School Year 7 to 9): 5:50 PM - 6:40 PM
Age 14 to 16 (School Year 10 to 11): 6:45 PM - 7:45 PM (Future Class)
Hourly Rate: £25 per hour

Job Requirements
Proven experience in acting, particularly stage work, with a strong portfolio of performances.
Previous teaching experience, particularly with children aged 7 to 16, is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of acting techniques, stage performance, and key practitioners, including Shakespeare.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate young students.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
A relevant degree or professional qualification in acting, drama, or theatre is preferred.
A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
Job Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and educational acting classes for children aged 7 to 16.
Teach fundamental and advanced acting techniques with a focus on stage performance.
Educate students on voice projection, diction, physicality, and character development.
Introduce and explore the works of various acting practitioners and Shakespeare.
Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and build confidence.
Foster a supportive and creative learning environment.
Collaborate with other staff members and participate in regular team meetings.
Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with studio guidelines.
