We're looking for someone who can blend traditional circus artistry with contemporary teaching methods to elevate our performers to new heights. We're seeking a coach who understands the profound influence they can have on artists' careers and lives. The ideal candidate will excel at building strong, supportive relationships with performers while maintaining professional boundaries.


The Acrobatic Coach will have the opportunity to:

· List Coach and develop performers in various acrobatic disciplines;
· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and refine acts;
· Ensure safety protocols are followed during training and performances;
· Contribute to the creative process and artistic vision of our shows;
· Provide mentorship, motivation, and goal-setting guidance to artists;
· Implement and manage change effectively within the training environment;
· Monitor and manage workload tolerance of artists;
· Complete all other job-related duties as assigned.


What does it take for this role?

Qualifications:

· Extensive background in circus arts and acrobatics
· Proven track record of coaching performers from diverse backgrounds and skill levels
· Up-to-date knowledge of current trends and best practices in acrobatic training
· Strong understanding of team dynamics and collaborative work environments
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to adapt coaching methods to individual performer needs
· Demonstrated experience in implementing change and managing transitions
· Understanding of workload tolerance and ability to balance training intensity with recovery


Required Skills:

· Proficiency in multiple acrobatic disciplines
· Demonstrated ability to work with performers of varying abilities
· Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
· Ability to pass a swim test
· Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
· Exceptional soft skills, including empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution
· Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including Stage Management, Performance Medicine, Technical, and Health and Safety departments
· Ability to perform the essential functions of the job including, but not limited to: crouching, kneeling, standing, lifting, sometimes for extended amounts of time; lifting at least 50lbs unassisted, etc.; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions;
· Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Other language knowledge is an asset;
· Verification of the right to work in the United States for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one’s identity and work authorization.
