A unique coaching and training opportunity!! We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and experienced Acrobatic teacher to coach at our Aerial Arts School. Circus art training and experience definitely an asset. We are looking for someone eager to learn and join our growing team. The successful candidate will undergo basic circus art training in selected aerial art forms in spring/summer 2020! Ability to demonstrate is an asset! Leadership skills and the ability to provide corrective feedback to students is required. Must enjoy working with recreational students ages 5 to 14. We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive individual that can represent our brand.

Hours of work: Part-time 2 - 3 evenings/week

Qualifications
-Minimum 3 years teaching experience
-Certifications in BATD, Acro Dance Teachers Association, Acrobatic Arts an asset
-Can spot acrobatic skills safely
-Strong dance and acro technique
-Experience in, and strong choreography skills
-Ability to demonstrate dance and acrobatic skills is an asset
-Leadership and managing teams are an asset
-Excellent communication and organizational skills
-Considerable experience working with children, youth and teens


Key Responsibilities
-Create a welcoming, healthy and safe learning environment for all students to grow and learn by setting class-based rules and boundaries that are centered on mutual respect and understanding of our core values.
-Strong leadership skills and experience leading groups
-Give constructive feedback and criticism when needed
-Create choreography for competition and recital
-Teach and lead classes
-Interact and communicate well with other coaching staff
-Role model to the students and parents
-Speak to children in an encouraging and positive way
-Creative problem solver
-Cares about class quality and overall growth of the studio
-Ability to work well in teams
-Dependability, professionalism, creativity, punctuality and friendliness is must
-Strong attention to detail

Drivers License is a must as well as vulnerable screen police check and First Aid and CPR.
