Contemporary theater of resistance.

The Zygomatic Company is a troop led by Ludovic Pitorin who brings together actors, dancers, musicians, acrobats and builders, since February 2001. After 17 years spent in Moncoutant, we have just established in Bressuire in Deux-Sèvres to develop a new project "The 109". We will rehabilitate an unusual place in Bressuire to make an artistic factory. This place will be a village square open to art in general and the human in particular.

Laughter is a very serious thing

For the Zygomatic company, laughter is a very serious thing. We believe in its liberating power and its absolute necessity to be able to tackle societal issues that are often heavy. A sensitive and humanistic committed humor that questions: "a belly laugh that illuminates the brain". This theatrical bias allowed us to reach a wide audience. In 17 years, we have given more than 1000 performances in the four corners of France. 250,000 spectators, 4 festivals in Avignon and many prizes (Coup de Coeur Avignon 2014, Prix Tournesol, Prize for Best Direction at the Festival Auteur Théâtre chaired by Remi de Vos).

We have toured about 50 times in 7 countries (Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Togo, Belgium, Benin, Tunisia).

Networks
Our shows are part of regional and national networks of artistic creation and diffusion of the live show (conventioned scenes, theatrical programming, recognized festivals)

Supported by the New Aquitaine Region, the Department of Deux-Sèvres, the agglomeration of Bressuirais grove and the city of Bressuire, the company is also in partnership with many theaters and festivals in the Region of New Aquitaine, Pays de la Loire and throughout France.
