Ad Sales and Member Acquisition

StageLync is an independent career platform for the performing arts featuring an extensive  database of international talent, casting tools, and professional content that inspires, informs, and educates.


We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to help us meet our member acquisition and ad revenue targets. The Sales Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands StageLync's customer base and ensures its strong presence in the performing arts industry.


Requirements
We seek a new team member with three+ years of experience working in online sales. The incumbent embraces a strategic, innovative and results-oriented approach. They will work independently to reach sales goals and member acquisition targets, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excel at building rapport with creative individuals in the performing arts. 

Language skills: Fluency in English required and a second language is a plus (specifically French, Spanish and/or Italian).


Responsibilities

  • Drive digital advertising sales and member acquisition and achieve growth by hitting targets 
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with clients to understand their needs
  • Manage customer campaigns and collaborations  including ad placement, timelines
  • Identify new markets as the company broadens its reach into the performing arts

Social Media Intern (Unpaid)

StageLync is expanding - we could use your help and you could receive college credit for it! We are seeking a social media intern for one to two semesters. This position provides an excellent opportunity to participate in various stages of online marketing and social media management.

StageLync is the fastest growing career platform in the international performing arts industry. Our social media content is a blend of original, collaborative and user-generated content. In addition to our own material (articles, jobs listings, membership benefits), we share collaborative content with individuals and organizations representing every aspect of performing arts and variety arts. Our goal is to connect the community, to disseminate information about work opportunities and to highlight performing arts trends and events. The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, have interest in or experience with the performing arts, and have previous experience with social media management beyond personal social media use. The intern will help spearhead all digital and social media efforts under the guidance of our Community Manager. You will be responsible for helping create and execute social media content and campaigns to expand our digital footprint and grow our social media community on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. 

College students are encouraged to apply through their school programs in order to receive college credit, but this unpaid position is also open to any interested and qualified candidates.

Intern Responsibilities

  • Manage and post weekly original content (articles, jobs, events)
  • Daily engagement per channel 
  • Responding to direct messages on all channels
  • Following and updating the social media calendar
  • Participate in social media campaign and content creation

Intern Learning Objectives

Gain experience in:

  • Translating content strategies into social media campaigns
  • Content creation and caption writing
  • Tracking social media trends within the performing arts community
  • Analyzing KPIs to optimize future content and campaigns
  • Working with a team on group projects (We enjoy strong collaboration and cross-communication between the content, social media team and production team.)


Intern Benefits

  • College credit is possible for
  • Marketing/Communications/Advertising, etc. majors from universities that participate
  • Regular feedback from the team and mentoring from the Content Manager on areas of professional interest
  • Minimum of one year PRO membership on StageLync

Requirements

  • Able to commit 10 to 15 hours a week for at least two hours per day to intern work - weekly amount to be agreed upon and consistent
  • Be a current college student or graduate majoring in Marketing/Communications/Advertising or one year of related experience
  • Must have previous experience with social media management outside personal use
  • Fluency in English
  • Good communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
    Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, remote environment
  • Ability to multi-task and  adjust to breaking news content
    Must be able to meet deadlines


Bonus but not required:

  • A strong interest in performing arts and some knowledge of performing arts industry
  • Graphic design skills (Canva)
  • Excellent copywriting skills for captioning
  • Experience with online social media scheduling apps
  • French or Spanish
