Samantha Halas

Hailing from Winnipeg,Samantha Halas has traveled the world to  study circus arts including China, San Francisco, Mongolia and across Canada. Now based in Montreal, her latest accomplishment, creating Deep Dish, a one woman show, which she has performed in both Winnipeg(Gas Station Arts Center) and Montreal (TOHU, Mainline Theater).  You will find her as the villain in The Elevator Game. Samantha has performed for circuses such as Street Circus’s Throwback, Haut Vol, Wonderbolt Circus, Luna Caballera, the Underground Circus, Labo Cirque, Chile's En La Cuerda, Balancing on the Edge, has toured Canada and Europe with the Red Sky Performance’s production of Backbone and has appeared as a featured performer with The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.  Sam has produced and written three narrative driven cabarets in Winnipeg as Frostbite Circus. She teaches social circus, as well as coaching professional to novice circus artists using circus as a medium for social change.
